The head honcho's at L&D (me and Steve) got together in Bristol for a catch up over some beers last weekend. The result was a very productive weekend where we mapped out the next few films for L&D. In short, we are going to put three films into production at once!
Film 1. Saw based black horror-comedy currently in pre-production in Nottingham. Due for September shoot date and October/November release.
Film 2. 'The Haunted Dolls House' by M.R.James. Currently in pre-production in Bristol. It will be a mixture of live action and animation which will realise M.R.James' classic tale in Steve's usual, brilliant style. Film 3. Original untitled short. All I can say is that it's a very dark fairytale and will look beautiful. This will be our first fully joint project for a while. It's very exciting as we're going back the way we shot McKinley and The Birthday Wish. Just me, Steve and a camera. Looking to shoot Sept/Oct alongside the other films.
All in all there's lots to look forward to as 2011 is turning into our most productive year yet.
