The Woods and Clapper Poster

We had a great shoot over the weekend for 'Into the Woods'. Imogen, our young star, was a true professional. The green screen work seemed to be a breeze for her. She put both me and Stephen to shame, correcting us where she needed to stand and which direction she was coming in from. Sometimes we just didn't have a clue.

We've done a quick edit/review of the footage and it's looking very special indeed. Stephen's got the tough job of putting it all together in post but he's fired up for it, which is always a good sign.

Highlights of the weekend were.

1. The largest, loudest bumblebee getting onto set and Imogen practically having to shout above it to be heard.
2. One of the lights smoking like a chimney right underneath a smoke detector. Reflectors come in very handy at dispersing smoke in a hurry. Having said that, we had just got the last shot, so if the alarms did go off we could have made a quick run for it.
3. Being given the task of ironing a large wall full of green screen. I am a truly multi tasking director.
4. Imogen's delight at having to rummage through a pile of dirt, leaves and twigs that we brought onto set. It was a constant distraction for her as she was fascinated by the creepy crawlies living in there and insisted we all take a look.

All in all it was a great, simple shoot. We got some lovely footage and I can't wait for Stephen to work his magic in post. But we have to be patient as there's a lot of work still to be done.

Oh and I created a poster of the 'Saw Misgivings' clappers. BE WARNED. Some are very rude and childish, so don't click the link if you're easily offened.
