'Saw Misgivings' and 'Into The Woods'

The 'Saw Misgivings' shoot happened last weekend. It was a full on hectic shoot but was amazingly light hearted and calm considering all we had to do. We had lots of new toys to play with on set which meant we could get some really nice shots. Steve McNeil, Vicky Album and the rest of the cast did an amazing job, as did the crew. Sorry there weren't as many coffee/ciggy breaks as there could have been.

Highlights of the weekend were...

1. Nearly trapping a baby's fingers in the clapperboard when about to mark a take.
2. The constant renaming of the film on the clapperboard by the cast and crew - pics to follow.
3. Dwyz (the cameraman) getting confused regarding which cottage we were staying in and ending up next door.
4. One of the neighbours being blocked in by Sylvia and Sylvia having to go move her car in full horror make up.
5. Forgetting to take the cottage keys on the first night and scaring the taxi driver half to death as we all start screaming at him to turn around.

I've started the edit and I really think we've got a cracking film here. There were some truly magical moments over the weekend and I'm pleased to say we've got most of them on camera.

And onto 'Into the Woods'. I'm heading to Bristol this weekend to shoot 'Into the Woods'. It's our super short, green screen fairy tale film, which will hopefully be ready for Virgin Media Shorts later on in the year.

I'm really looking forward to this shoot as we're going right back to basics. It's going to be essentially, me, Steve and the actress on set. That was how we shot 'The Birthday Wish' back in the day and that was a really pleasant shoot. I'm hoping this weekend will be the same. Imogen, our star, is a talented young actress and I'm really looking forward to working with her. Thanks to the Television Workshop for coming to our aid again.
