Festivals, Wells and Gangstas

We paid a visit to the Soho Rushes Shorts festival the other week. It was great to be back at a short film festival, it's been a while. There were some brilliant shorts showing alongside ours and it made me proud that 'The Office Orphan' held its own and got plenty of laughs.

'The Wailing Well' is a few weeks away from completion. Working closely with the sound guys for the final big push. We've set a deadine so we can get the film shipped off to its first festival submission. We'll be having the cast/crew/friends screening in Nottingham at the end of August, contact us if you fancy popping along. Has it really been a year since we wrapped?

L&D Nottingham will be kicking off pre-production on their new short next week. It's a 15 minute piece which will be a bit of a departure for us. It's a cross genre film - part romantic comedy, part Italianamerican gangster film, all shot in and around Nottingham. I'm busy working and re-working the script. Got a lot of doubts, I really want the film to up the ante following 'The Office Orphan' and 'The Wailing Well', to do that we need the script to be killer. It's hard, but we're getting there.

We're on the look out for cast and crew in the Nottingham area, so please feel free to send details via the contact page.
